Seeking District Leaders

Our District is seeking several individuals to fill key leadership positions. Please take a look at the positions below and send names of persons you’d recommend (even if you’re recommending yourself) to our District Superintendent at:
Youth Coordinator – Plan and implement programs, special events and opportunities for United Methodist Youth in our District with a view toward connecting with youth in churches where there is not a critical mass of young people to belong to a vital, engaging group.
Chair: Board of Church Location and Building – Coordinate committee work related to matters related to granting approval for local church building projects, mergers of congregations and sale of local church property in accordance with guidelines in the Book of Discipline.
United Methodist Men Coordinator – Support local church UMM groups, develop new groups including multi-church or regional UMM groups. Engage men in our local churches through projects, retreats, spiritual formation and special events.
Anti-Bias/Anti-Racism Coordinator – Begin District focus on anti-bias/anti-racism work.
Chair: Local Church Vibrancy – Guide the Local Church Vibrancy Team to equip congregations through planning training events, coordinating Local Church Assessments and awarding “Fresh Expressions” grants to churches with new and emerging ministries.
In addition to these positions, we are looking for persons who would be interested in serving on the teams listed above or as members of our Lay Servant Ministries, Clergy Wellness, and Engage Priorities and Projects (Missions) teams.
