The Greater Southwest District is seeking representative leadership with different ages, backgrounds, and experiences from all twelve District Branches.

District ABAR Team
Works with the Conference Anti-Bias/Anti-Racism Team to promote and provide learning experiences and ministries that build on ABAR education.
District Board of Church Location and Building
Follows The Book of Discipline requirements for managing the buildings and properties of the district, including aligning all sales of property with conference and denominational requirements.
District Clergy Wellness
Cares for the well-being of those who lead congregations and serve in ministry with training and support for self-care, boundaries, continuing education, and spiritual development.
District Committee on Ministry
Celebrates the ways that God calls people into ministry, providing regular guidance to explore all types of ministry, and annual oversight of each person who feels called to serve.
District Disaster Response Coordinator
The point of contact for coordinating disaster response and disaster-related efforts at the district level.
District Fellowship Team
Works with the District Leadership Team to seek out ways to bring Branches, Churches, and People together for Fellowship and Ministry.
District Finance Team
Works with the District Treasurer to manage district funds, set district Ministry Shares, implement policy, oversee grants, create a district budget, and maintain proper financial oversight.
District Lay Servant Ministries Team
Invites laity into creative ministry in the local church and beyond by arranging for meaningful learning experiences and supportive connections.
District Leadership Team
Articulates a vision and guides the district mission and ministries to live into that mission.
District Missions and Outreach
Reaches out with love, compassion, and empathy to thoughtfully connect with people in our neighborhoods and around the world with the heart of Christ.
District Prayer Team
Pray together for every church and pastor in the district, including ministries and community and world events.
District Superintendency Team
Supports the District Superintendent and lay employees to live into a covenant to care for self and others in healthy ways.
Lay Equalization Member to Annual Conference
Selected by the Conference Board of Laity to serve as a voting member at Annual Conference, equalizing the number of laity with the number of clergy.
